Welcome

Kyudo is an introverted art, without spectacular external actions. Kyudo trains power of concentration and composure, it sharpens body perception and has a positive effect on posture, balance and coordination of movement.
Kyudo is also mental training for the development of one’s own personality.
Since it is not muscle strength that is important, but sensitive coordination of movement, Kyudo is suitable for women and men of all ages who want to take up the challenge of this way of practising.
Kyudo is not Zen and Zen is not Kyudo. We do not practice Zen archery but Kyudo, the traditional Japanese archery.
We cultivate the art of Japanese archery in the style of „Heki Ryu Insai Ha“ or „Heki-To-Ryu“. According to its origin, the motto of our school is „Kan-Chu-Kyu“: „Shoot with penetrating power, strive for accuracy, train with endurance“ – „A strong arrow always hits the target“.
